Alba Place provides support to children and young people with a moderate to severe learning disability and/or autism. We provide full time or shared care residential services for up to four children and young people and respite care for up to 40 families.
At Alba Place we work in partnership with children, young people and their parents/carers to develop activities which support and challenge different abilities.
Service aims and what we offer
Alba Place aims to provide a residential and respite service, where children, young people and their families can be supported and included.
The service does this in many ways including:
• providing residential care,
• offering respite to families,
• enabling children and young people with disabilities to participate in a range of constructive and enjoyable activities,
• facilitating the inclusion of children and young people with disabilities in the wider community ,
• responding to appropriate requests for help from families and from partner agencies quickly, fairly and effectively,
• providing support, information and advice to families and carers.
Who we work with
Alba Place supports children and young people aged between 5 and 18 years who live in Moray and have a moderate to severe learning disability and/or autism.
General service information
Alba Place is open 24/7 all year. To access our respite or residential service all referrals must come through The Moray Council Social Work Dept.
Alba Place is a registered service and is inspected by the Care Commission, The Moray Council Quality Monitoring Officer, Environmental Health and Aberlour’s Health and Safety Officer thereby ensuring the provision of a high quality service to all children and young people who go there.

Partnership and funding
Alba Place is funded by a partnership with The Moray Council and Aberlour. Money from donations enables Alba Place to provide specialist equipment and other benefits for the children and young people.

Alba Place has also received funding from the People's Postcode Lottery.
