David joined Aberlour’s Board of Governors in October 2009. David is also a member of Aberlour’s Marketing, Fundraising and External Affairs Committee.
He was born in the West of Scotland and educated at Glasgow University. He has worked with Lloyds Bowmaker Finance Group and was a Director of Murray International Group and Schroders. He set up his own training & development business – MediaCorp - which he developed into an online learning company which he sold in 2004.
Now a Business and Life Skills Management consultant, David has held non executive director positions over the last few years with a number of not for profit organisations. He became Founder Chairman of the E-Learning Alliance in Scotland, President of Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce, the Local Economic Forum, main board Director of the Scottish Chambers of Commerce as well as being a member of the Entrepreneurial Exchange, Scotland. He is also on a regional board for the Prince's Trust in Scotland.
