Early Years & Childcare Development Officer
Funded by Aberdeen Early Years & Childcare Partnership, 2 Development Officers aim to ensure the right kind of childcare service is developed to meet the needs of children & families in Aberdeen.
The main priorities of the Development Officers are to -
• Develop new services in line with identified need - in partnership with area based early years managers and childcare partnership strategic priorities.
• Provide advice, guidance, and support to childcare services in order to meet a range of quality assurance measures and to support their financial sustainability.
• Provide a range of training interventions in order to develop the practice, skills and knowledge of staff in the sector.

The Early Years Services Centre, Silverburn Lodge, Claymore Drive, Bridge of Don was established in 2006 to provide the co-location and opportunities for shared working for a number of support services to staff and providers in Aberdeen -
• Strategist for Early Years;
• Aberdeen City Council Pre-School Development Team;
• Community Link Childcare Charity;
• SCMA;
• the CSTAC service.
