Aberlour warmly welcomes the publication of the Early Years Framework and is supportive of the main principles of early intervention identified in the report.
By accepting that all children have a right to a strong equitable start in life, where opportunities are not denied them due to their individual domestic circumstances or neighbourhood or the capacity of their parent to discharge their responsibilities as a parent, we believe the Framework sets the right aspirational tone.
As announced at the Growing up in Scotland Event in Glasgow on Wednesday 18th March 09, Aberlour's service National Parenting Development Project (NPDP) will be jointly working with the Scottish Government to hold a conference in June 2009 that will look at the implementation of the Early Years Framework.
