A BIG-HEARTED Zumba instructor is donating the proceeds from the final class of her term to Aberlour.

Karol Spinks, who runs a weekly class at Ferryhill Community Centre is donating all the entry fees from next week’s session.

Karol, originally from Colombia, said: “I have been running a weekly Zumba class in Ferryhill for a while now and I really wanted to do something for charity in the run up to Christmas.

“I’ve decided to make our final class a bit more special by giving all the money from the night to Aberlour.

“I think they are a great charity and they do so much for disadvantaged children, right here in Aberdeen.

“So if you’ve ever thought about trying Zumba, this is your perfect chance. It’s great fun, can help you lose weight and tone up before Christmas and best of all, it’s all for a great cause.”

The Zumba class will take place on Wednesday, December 14 at Ferryhill Community Centre on Albury Road.

Senior fundraising executive Marie-Claire Jones said: “We are so grateful to Karol for this generous offer and hope lots of people come along to the session for a workout.

“It’s thanks to people like Karol who donate their time and money to us, that we can do what we do.”
