Scotland's Hidden Children Appeal
not all children are born with an equal chance. we're here for scotland's hidden children when others let them down.
Aberlour provides services that support Scotland's hidden children and young people, like Xuan, who was trafficked into Scotland aged 13 and forced to work as a domestic slave. Xuan, and many others like her have been helped by our Scottish Guardianship Service. Run in partnership with the Scottish Refugee Council, the service supports unaccompanied asylum seeking and trafficked children and young people who arrive in Scotland alone, separated from their families. Watch a video about the service.
The service is managed by Catriona and a team of 'guardians'. These guardians provide a vital support link for children and young people as they navigate the immigration and welfare processes. Catriona has been reflecting on her work and has written in this letter about her experiences.
This Mother's Day, we're asking our incredible supporters to become part of our chain of support for all our children and young people. It's easy, just download a daisy, fill it in with your special message for our children and share a photo of it on Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #daisychain.
Please join our Hidden Children appeal this Mother's Day. Any gift, big or small, will help support. Text GROW19 £5 to 70070 to donate £5 or make a gift online.
