Families with young children in Falkirk who attend Aberlour’s service to get extra help and practical support will benefit from extra funds raised by members of the Institute of Measurement and Control (East of Scotland Section) at its annual dinner.
Aberlour offers a range of services for families at its CLASP service, which is commissioned by Falkirk Council. Staff run groups for parents and children focusing on health, child development, early learning and parenting and also offer home based support for families who work together with us on child care related issues.
Winnie Delaney, Service Manager at Aberlour’s CLASP Service spoke about the circumstances of the children and families who attend CLASP at the annual dinner held at on 7th November 2008 The members responded by giving £2,000 for the service. This is the 2nd year in a row Aberlour has been the beneficiary charity.
Martin Kerlin, Chairman, Institute of Measurement and Control (East of Scotland Section), said:
“Our annual dinner is one our networking events and the members were particularly impressed with the presentation from Aberlour service and showed their appreciation by donating generously to this good cause.”
Trisha Hall, Regional Director, Aberlour, is delighted with the Institute’s support. She said: “We are delighted that the members have chosen to support Aberlour’s work with families in Falkirk once again this year. We are working hard with local families to help enable better outcomes for them and their children and their funds will help us continue this work.
