Jean joined the Board in November 2008. Since 1990 Jean has held a number of other public appointments notably Member and Vice Chairman of the Health Education Board for Scotland and member of the Police Advisory Board for Scotland. She is currently Director of K3 Consultants Ltd providing HR strategic, policy and operational advice to local authorities.
Jean is Deputy Chairman of the Ombudsman Service Ltd, and a Director of the Merchants' House of Glasgow. She was awarded the CBE in 2006 for services to the administration of justice.
