You can help us to continue our vital work by leaving us a legacy. Including Aberlour in your Will won't cost you anything today, but the lasting difference to the next generation of children and young people across Scotland will be invaluable. After providing for your family and friends, a gift to Aberlour will make an important difference.
Consider this - each person who remembers our work in their Will becomes not only part of Aberlour's rich history, but, most importantly, our future. Every gift pleged can be dedicated to someone you love and will be recorded in our Dedication Book held within the Aberlour archives and, if you wish, displayed on our website.
If you have already included Aberlour in your Will, we would love to thank you. Tell us about your planned gift, please get in touch legacy@aberlour.org.uk
Here's what your gift could achieve:
£500 - supports a group of kinship carers who are looking after children whose parents are unable to care for them.
£1,000 -goes towards providing a weekend of respite care for a child with a severe disability.
£2,500 - can provide specialist therapy for children who have suffered trauma and neglect.
£5,000 - could mean a holiday for a group of children who have never been on holiday before.
£10,000 - could go towards refurbishing a kitchen or bathroom to make it suitable for children with a disability.
£20,000 - allows us to purchase a specially-adapted minibus.
£50,000 - helps us to build a new centre for families who need intensive support to overcome parental drug and alcohol dependency.
Any gift which may be left to us, would be used by the Trust to fund the area which had the most need at that time. However, the beneficiary can stipulate in the Will exactly how they would like their gift to be used, for example, to fund a specialist piece of equipment in a residential home for children with severe disabilities, or to ensure that each child within a sector has a day at the beach etc. The benefactor may wish for their gift only to be used in a certain geographical area and as long is this is noted in the terms of the will, then these wishes will be adhered to.
