Moira Frizzell

Director

Moira joined Aberlour’s Board in October 2009 and is also a member of the Human Resources Committee and Policy and Practice Committee.

She is delighted to have been elected and join a trust that has a prestigious reputation in the care of our young and moat vulnerable children.   Her background is in F.E where she worked for 23 years initially Lecturing and finally in management of The Faculty Early Education Health and Social Care.

She is totally committed to the importance of providing training and educational opportunities for all staff to enable them to maximise their potential through gaining appropriate qualifications and continuing professional development.

Since joining the Board Moira has been impressed by the way that Aberlour staff have embraced the difficult economic climate and looked to taking hard decisions. They have restructured quite radically while maintaining standards of the institution and continued to work effectively in this demanding and challenging job.

She hopes that she can continue to bring her experience of change in Education to the culture change which we now must face and to support Aberlour as it faces the challenges in the years to come to continue its crucial and valuable work

The huge challenge for the 21st century continues to be family break down and all the negative impact that has on the child and ultimately society, so it is a privilege to join as a Trustee an organisation at the forefront of tackling this major problem of the health and well being of tomorrow’s children
