Local Co-op Travelcare Staff put their Best Foot Forward for Aberlour
Travel consultants from local Co-op Travelcare store in Galashiels and Kelso will be putting their best foot forward to help Scotland’s children as they take part in the Great Scottish Walk this weekend (10th June).
The will all be walking for Aberlour, which is the the Co-op’s Charity of the year in Scotland. The Great Scottish Walk takes place this Sunday (10th June) around Edinburgh and walkers can choose to walk one, six or twelve miles. The Travelcare team are stepping out to complete the full twelve miles in order to raise as much money as possible for children, families and young people needing extra help to reach their potential.
Kirsti Wilson, Travelcare Consultant said: “I have never done anything like this before but we decided to really get behind the charity this year and raise as much money as we can. I like this challenge as it is open to everyone and should be lots of fun.”
Amy Headridge, also from Galashiels branch, Channel Street and Lauren Purvis from Kelso branch, Woodmarket, have buckets in both the stores and they are also getting sponsorship individually for the challenge.
