Scotland’s children’s charity - Aberlour Child Care Trust, has been taken on as the nominated charity of Great Room, incorporating Golf Marketing Direct and UPTOWN magazine.
The Golf Marketing Direct Gold Card gives golfers exclusive deals on green fees at some of Scotland’s top courses; not just restricted to golf, there are some great offers on hotels, spas, restaurants and retailers. For every Gold card sold via the website (www.golfmarketingdirect.co.uk) a donation will be made to the Charity and from any cards sold at Aberlour Child care Trust fund raising events. This will help the charity in raising vital funds that are needed across projects supporting Scotland’s most vulnerable children.
Golf Marketing Direct will be taking a Stand at the Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond from 9 – 12 July and for anyone purchasing a card at the Open a donation of £5.00 per card will be made to the Children’s Charity.
Sam Torrance, long term supporter of Aberlour commented on the partnership:
“I have supported Aberlour Child Care Trust in the past and admire the work they are doing with some of the most vulnerable children and young people in Scotland. Vital funds are required to enable them to continue to do this important work to help children and keep them safe from harm and enable them to fulfil their potential. I know that Aberlour has had previous support from Scotland’s golf community and I hope that their new partnership with Golf Marketing Direct can help them to bring much needed funding through sales of their new golf card. I hope too that golfers across Scotland will look favourably at Aberlour’s new partnership and continue to support the work which Aberlour does”
Aberlour’s Chief Executive Addie Stevenson commented:
“This innovative partnership with Golf Marketing Direct allows us to raise funds which will sustain our important work with children and young people who are living with disability, parental drug or alcohol dependency, emotional or behavioural difficulties or where the circumstances at home are so bad they are forced to run away.
Having the backing of Scottish icons like Sam Torrance gives Aberlour a real boost and it’s great that businesses are keen to form a partnership to give children and young people a better start in life. We look forward to a rewarding partnership and continued support from Sam”.
Fiona Cameron, PR & Marketing Manager of Great Room added:
“We wanted to choose a Scottish based charity and it was a very hard decision to make with so many worthwhile charities all struggling during these difficult times. Having listened to just some of the many heart rending stories and the suffering of children in our own country, we were only too delighted to work with Aberlour Child Care Trust and hope that the Charity will find our partnership beneficial”.
