The Bridges Partnership

The Bridges Partnership helps women in Glasgow to escape domestic abuse. We work to give women and children a fresh start and recover from a traumatic past.

We work in partnership with Shelter and Glasgow Housing Association to give a family all they need to move on. Our partners help mums to navigate the housing system and understand the options they have available to them if a new home is needed.

Our family workers provide emotional, practical and therapeutic support throughout.

how we help

  • We offer a confidential advice and enquiry service, over the phone
  • Following on from that, one of our team will carry out an assessment of a family’s needs
  • Based on that, our team will put together a package of support
  • Support will usually include access to specialist housing advice, as well as practical help with parenting
  • Children will be helped to overcome their trauma, so the family can move on as a unit
  • We will draw on help from specialist agencies as and when required
