Steve is Aberlour’s first Head of Business Development and is committed to ensuring that good care services are underpinned by good business practices, ensuring that every penny we have is spent to best effect.
Steve was an operational manager for over 16 years and joined Aberlour in 1998. He has been in a variety of roles during that time including the development of the award winning Crannog services for young people who are at risk of repeated exclusion from school in Dumfries and Galloway. More recently, as Regional Director, he held responsibility for a wide range of services to young people and families.
Initially a qualified Youth and Community Worker in 1987, Steve completed an MSc in Social Work Management (2003) and is an Associate Lecturer on University of Strathclyde’s Post Graduate Social Work Management programme with a particular interest in management, leadership and change.
