Housebuilder, Stewart Milne Homes, has joined forces with Aberlour, to help spread the festive spirit to more vulnerable families and children and ensure every child has a gift to open on Christmas day.
Based in Stirling, Aberlour provides services, care and support to over 6,000 of Scotland’s most vulnerable children, young people and families each year. Every Christmas, the organisation hosts festive parties and celebrations across its facilities, Scotland-wide, to give everyone the chance to enjoy the festive holidays.
To support these efforts, Stewart Milne Homes is hosting a ‘Giving Tree’ at three of its developments in Stirling and Dunblane, and urging communities across the region to add just one more gift to the Christmas list to donate.
People can drop-off gifts, toys and other gestures of goodwill at the showhomes of Wallace Gardens and Strathallan Park in Stirling and Highfields View in Dunblane.
Aberlour, said: “Christmas can be an especially difficult time of year for the children and families we work with. We do our best to ease some of the pressures faced and help the most vulnerable within our communities enjoy the special qualities of this time of year.
“We are delighted to be working with Stewart Milne Homes this year and hope the various Giving Tree locations will give people more chances to donate and help us put smiles on more faces this Christmas.”
James Crawford, managing director of Stewart Milne Homes Central Scotland, added: “Working with Aberlour this Christmas gives us a great opportunity to utilise our showhomes for a truly worthwhile cause and the team has already pledged to donate the first gifts. We really hope we can encourage others to donate a gift this year and help more children and families across Scotland enjoy Christmas.”
Aberlour is collecting gifts for children of all ages and abilities. Wrapped donations should be clearly marked with the appropriate age and gender. Stewart Milne Homes’ Giving Trees are collecting gifts from 01 December until Monday 19 December.
The Giving Trees at Wallace Gardens (FK9 5HA), Strathallan Park (FK9 5GF) and Highfields View (FK15 9EG) will be open Thursday to Monday, between 10.30am and 5.30pm. For further details and directions contact 0845 302 6396.
