Stirling secures mutual building society

The Scottish Building Society has partnered with Stirling based Kerr Stirling Solicitors, to provide a range of society services and facilities to the people of Stirling.

Seen as one of the safest places for people to save and invest in this time of financial turmoil, the Scottish Building Society operates on the safe and traditional mutual business model and is currently celebrating 160 years in business!

“We are delighted to launch a Scottish Building Society Agency office within this well respected firm of solicitors,” said Scottish Building Society Regional Manager, John Lloyd.   “The range of services offered will include our savings and investment products, such as the new Heritage three year bond launched this week along with a balance transfer cash Isa.”

Partner in Kerr Stirling, Roderick Davidson commented, “This partnership expands our client offering and also adds another dimension to our business.   The Scottish Building Society is a traditional building society and this well established brand has the reputation, integrity and reliability we demand to provide an excellent service and product range for our clients.”

The new agency branch is being officially opened on Monday 23rd February within Kerr Stirling’s offices located in Albert Place in the Kings Park area.    To mark the occasion, SBS is donating £500.00 to the company’s chosen charity, The Aberlour Child Care Trust which provides help to over 6,000 of Scotland’s most vulnerable children and their families each year.  Kerr Stirling staff actively support this worthy charity and have donated almost £6,000 in the last year.
