Appointed as the Primus’ representative in April 2010.
Currently Chairman of Strathcarron Hospice's Council of Management, he is also a member of the Board of Governors of Seamab Learning and Care Services. He sits on the Children's Panel for the Falkirk Area.
A Civil Engineer by profession, he retired in 2006 after a total of 45 years with major British public works contractors. He has extensive experience in general and commercial management in construction. In addition to work in United Kingdom, he spent a number of years various locations in South East Asia and was responsible for joint venture companies in Europe and USA. He also has experience in business turnaround, in start up and in mergers and acquisitions in construction related businesses.
Latterly he undertook a range of interim management assignments in commercial, procurement and facilities management including for the 6,500 properties in the British Telecom estate and the maintenance and capital works programme for the 57 listed buildings in the Scottish Court Service estate.
