The evaluation of the Youth Crime Befriending Scheme was part of a larger evaluation of four Aberlour projects in receipt of Youth Crime Prevention funding. The main aims of the evaluation were to explore the processes involved in running the scheme and the effectiveness of its outcomes for young people, taking into account the inherent difficulties involved in evaluating the impact and effectiveness of this type of service.
