Our No 1 Service provides short and medium to long term residential rehabilitative programmes for families adversely affected by parental substance use. Women and their children reside in the project and the therapeutic programme focuses on risk reduction, resilience, parenting, dependency and life skills.
You will assist in the implementation of an integrated therapeutic service for families and will deliver a range of group and individual interventions. You will have a sound understanding of issues affecting women who experience problematic drug/alcohol use and of the potential effects on their children.
This post is full time, working 37.5 hours per week and involves working on a residential shift pattern. You will require to register with the SSSC and you will need to have or be prepared to gain a qualification in Social Care, Social Work or Community Justice, e.g. at SVQ Level 3.
This post is offered on a temporary basis until February 2009 in the first instance.
