fundraising in your community
Aberlour supports thousands of young people every day but we need your help to reach many, many more.
We need your club, church or community group’s help. There are lots of ways you can get involved and make sure that a bad start in life doesn’t lead to a bad end.
Some of the groups that fundraise for Aberlour include Rotary clubs, WRI’s, Soroptomists, Inner Wheel groups… and many more. Many of them organise group activities like bag packs, race nights and bake sales – but the ideas are endless.
Our staff across Scotland would love to come and meet you, and tell you about our work. If you’d like to request a speaker for your church, club or community group, contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0800 085 6150.
Door to door fundraising
Over the next few months door to door fundraisers will be visiting homes across Scotland to tell you all about the work we are doing to support children and young people across the country. They will also be encouraging support for Aberlour through regular donations by direct debit. Read our handy FAQs guide to answer any questions you may have about this activity>>
fundraising at work
does your workplace have a nominated charity of the year?
If so, you and your colleagues could make a difference to Scotland’s hidden children together.
Fundraising at work is great fun and at Aberlour we have great expertise in managing partnerships with large organisations. We are two-time award winners of the Best Corporate Partnership Award at the Institute of Fundraising awards.
By forming a partnership with Aberlour, your company will be giving back to the children in the very communities it works in. In return, we’ll offer you lots of ways to boost team spirit through fun events, volunteering days in our services and office challenges.
If you and your team need ideas of fantastic events that you can take part in to raise funds for Aberlour, see our 2020 events calendar.
support us through payroll giving
You can also choose to support us through payroll giving, which means we benefit from a donation every month, taken directly from your wages or salary.
It’s the most tax efficient way to give to charity! Payroll Giving donations are taken pre-tax, so you don’t pay a penny of income tax on your gift. This means your donation goes even further.
For every pound we receive, you only donate 80p, and if you are in a higher tax band, it’s only 60p.
To support Scotland’s vulnerable children through payroll giving, please complete this simple form today.

fundraising at school or university
why should your school support aberlour?
You could make a difference to Scotland’s hidden children, by supporting Aberlour at school or university. Supporting a charity as part of an education project, is a winning combination.
We can help you learn about some of the challenges that children and young people in Scotland are facing every day, and how you can help them to flourish, by supporting Aberlour.
School pupils and students are some of the most creative fundraisers out there, and can host amazing events for other pupils and staff to enjoy. In return we’ll give you lots of support, materials and help get your name up in lights in the community, through local newspapers.
Why not get the ball rolling, by arranging a visit from one of our team? We’d love to come and meet you, and tell you about our work. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 0800 085 6150.
