what will i be doing?

Aberlour Options Moray offer a safe, homely environment for children with disabilities to come and stay for a short break that gives their families a rest from their caring role. During their stay, children can take part in a range of activities which support their social and emotional development. Gardening Activities Volunteer support children to engage with the outdoor garden space available, to try new activities and to have fun. Gardening Activities Volunteers explore creative ways of engaging with children, such as planting bulbs, decorating stones or making bird feeders.

By creating fun and engaging activities for children, Gardening Activities Volunteers play an important role in making their stay enjoyable and interactive. Volunteers not only help children by encouraging participation, but also to learn a new skill and develop confidence. Garden activities also encourage children to be active and enjoy the outdoors.
