Get in touch David joined Aberlour’s Board of Governors in October 2009, and sits on the Finance Committee. Born in the West of Scotland and educated at Glasgow University, David has enjoyed a successful career in sales, marketing and senior management with a range of companies including Canon, Lloyds Bowmaker, Murray International Group and Schroders. He set up his own training & development business – MediaCorp – which he developed into an online learning company which he sold in 2004. Now a Business and Life Skills Management consultant, David has held non executive director positions over the last few years with a number of not-for-profit organisations. He became Founding Chairman of the E-Learning Alliance in Scotland, President of Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Local Economic Forum, a Director of the Scottish Chambers of Commerce, a member of the Entrepreneurial Exchange, regional board member of the Prince’s Trust and recently became chair of The Academy for shared learning across the third sector. David has participated in a number of fundraising activities over the last 10 years for Aberlour in Peru, Chile, Argentina and Tanzania. He is a keen amateur artist and photographer and sees his role supporting the organisation as a volunteer as a way of giving back to help support vulnerable children and young people. David was appointed Vice Chair in June 2014.
