Aberlour Attain Mentoring Service – Renfrewshire

Overview

Aberlour Attain – a new bespoke Attainment mentoring service. Working in partnership with Renfrewshire Council, this new service offers a flexible, relationship-based mentoring service to support the attainment needs of Renfrewshire’s care-experienced children and young people.

The service will match children and young people with a highly trained adult mentor to build a consistent and trusting relationship.  The focus in every mentoring relationship will be on developing the relationship, recognising and building their strengths, working on their goals and aspirations and providing support and encouragement to deal with difficult and challenging situations in their lives.

Volunteer as a mentor

Aberlour is looking for mentors aged 18 and over who can inspire and support care experienced children and young people across Renfrewshire and who will encourage them to value education and have high aspirations for their future.

In return, Aberlour will support you with high quality training, practical experience, ongoing support and supervision and an opportunity to connect with our amazing volunteers across Scotland at social and recognition events.
