We provide a telephone support line and community-based support for families with children, aged 5 to 12 years who are experiencing emotional distress such as anxiety, depression, self-harm.
How we help
We understand that looking after very young children can be difficult for many reasons and that sometimes parents need extra help as a result. Our primary years outreach service is designed to help families to gain the skills they need to have confident and secure parents with thriving, happy children.
We provide support based on the family’s needs and can include:
- Individual and group mental health and wellbeing support programmes for children and families affected by emotional distress
- Telephone support line providing a trusted ‘someone’ who will listen
- Matching volunteer befrienders with a child or family
- Connecting families to other agencies or community networks for more information and advice
The service is planned around the hours of 8am to 7pm, 7 days per week as we know some families will benefit from morning and evening support.
