Our residential disability service provides a safe, loving home for children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, or more complex needs. This is a national service, widely recognised for providing high-quality care.
how our residential disability service helps young people
We offer welcoming, secure and loving homes for children and young people. Our homes comprise of four brand new purpose built-flats and a three bedded residential house.
Young people in our homes are provided with 24-hour support enabling them to participate fully in activities within their communities and enjoy new experiences like attending college or taking part in hobbies. With our help, it’s easier for them to access different activities. Our safe and loving homes enable our young people to live close to their families and friends. They get the same encouragement they would find in a family home environment and family members are always welcome and tend to visit regularly.
We also offer a short breaks residential service at Rainbow Heart Cottage, our brand new purpose-built house which offers a safe and homely environment for up to five disabled children, aged 6 – 18 years, to stay in at any one time. While staying at Rainbow Heart Cottage, children can enjoy a range of fun activities and experiences with staff who specialise in taking care of children with disabilities. This is very much a ‘home away from home’ experience for the children who stay there and provides their families with a rest from their role as carers.
