Child Poverty and the Public Debt Crisis: A National Conference

Aberlour Children's Charity is co-hosting a national conference with the University of Glasgow's Centre for Public Policy, focusing on tackling child poverty through public debt reform this Debt Awareness Week.



This conference is for anyone working in the third sector, public sector or academia with an interest in addressing child poverty through public debt reform.


Keynote Speaker: Professor Morag Treanor, Professor of Social Policy and Inequality at University of Glasgow.


We seek to keep the voices of children and families at the heart of our policy influencing work, in our 'Unheard Voices and Gendered Impact' workshops, you will hear about how the impact of public debt is felt from those with lived experience.


Workshops from other key partners in this space such as Citizen's Advice Scotland, The Poverty Alliance, Govan Law Centre will join us, with more to be announced!
