How much do foster carers get paid?

When you become a foster carer with Aberlour, you join our very special family.

You'll receive a generous foster carer fee of up to £27,962.65 per year, a maintenance allowance of up to £10,209.05 per year and a set-up allowance of up to £500
You will receive short breaks tailored to your family's needs
You will receive extensive training and have access to support groups
Our experienced team of Social Workers and dedicated Family Worker will support you and your family every step of the way
Our Family Worker will also support your birth children as it is important for them to have their own worker to talk to and spend time with
Our support is 24-7, and you'll get regular visits and video calls from a Social Worker

Foster carer holidays and breaks

You're entitled to and encouraged to take time off and have holidays while fostering with us! Aberlour Fostering approve and support short-break carers who get to know all our children. These carers allow your foster child to have their own holiday in a planned way.

We also look at alternative short breaks, such as equine experiences, activity days, and our team can also offer additional support if needed.
