Can I foster a child?

Fostering is open to people from all walks of life.

At Aberlour Children's Charity, we welcome caring, committed individuals who are ready to make a lasting difference in a child's life. To become a foster carer with us, there are a few minimum requirements that form the foundation of our selection process. Generally, prospective carers must live in Scotland, have a stable home and be prepared to undergo background checks and comprehensive training. Above all, we look for people who demonstrate compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to support children and young people during times of need.

Our commitment to providing safe, nurturing homes extends to every aspect of our service. We understand that every potential foster carer brings unique qualities and circumstances to the table.
