fundraising tips

1. Set up your free online fundraising page with JustGiving

Setting up an online fundraising page is quick and easy and it allows your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you wherever they are. You can share your page on social media and keep everyone updated with your progress. Once you have completed your fundraising, JustGiving will simply send us the money you've raised.

2. Set yourself a fundraising target

Setting a target helps you get up to 45% more donations – and if you start getting close to your original target, don't stop and aim even higher!

3. Spread the word on social media

Using social media is one of the best ways to make sure everyone knows about your fundraising. You can tag Aberlour at:

Facebook

Twitter

Instagram

Don't forget about emails, WhatsApp and texts too.

4. Get your fundraising story into local press

Local press love stories about fundraisers in their area. Contact the news desk at your local paper, and ask them to run your story before and after your event.

5. Invite your friends to join you.

Fundraising is easier if you're working as a team! Invite friends, family and colleagues to join you.

6. Join our private Facebook Community Group

Join our private Facebook Community Group for motivation and inspiration from fellow fundraisers.

And of course, don't forget to say thank you to all the generous people who have donated and let them know how much you've raised.

To contact our fundraising team, email us at hello@aberlour.org.uk or leave your details and our team will get back in touch with you as soon as possible.
