Aberlour Child Care Trust has been honoured alongside the Scottish procurement elite at the Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards Scotland 2017/18, held at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow on Wednesday 25 October 2017.
Hosted by BiP Solutions Ltd, the GO Awards are the UK’s premier procurement awards, with annual ceremonies also taking place in England, Ireland and Wales in acknowledgement of achievement and innovation in procurement. The GO Awards are recognised as the benchmark by which procurement excellence and progress in public sector commissioning is measured.
Grahame Steed, managing editor of GO and chair of the judging panel, said: “This truly was an amazing end to a fantastic day! From a hugely successful Procurex Scotland Live event during the day that saw over 1500 delegates in attendance, right through to this stunning finale that is the GO Awards Scotland, this whole day has been immense and a fantastic Festival of Procurement.”
Jim Wallace, Director of Children and Families, Aberlour, this year’s Winner in the GO Procurement Team of the Year – Local Authorities – sponsored by Softcat, said of their win:
“We were thrilled to win this award. Through tender opportunities we can grow our services and give more children the chance to flourish. The key to success was our collaborative, team approach – children’s services worked hand in hand with other key departments to produce the tender and i’d like to thank each member of the team for their involvement.”
